At Ho’omalu, we believe that youth and young adults who learn certain soft skills are better prepared to enter the workforce. It has been shown that students who graduate with these skillsets are more likely to lead productive lives and hold sustainable careers. Studies show that students who learn these foundational skills earlier in their lives also perform better in the classroom and in other aspects of their daily lives.
Sadly, soft skills are not focus areas in schools. Students who go without learning these critical and practical skillsets usually have difficultly securing and sustaining a viable job after high school.
With a passion to serve our native Hawaiian youth and the community at large, we are committed to fostering these values and bringing courses to youth and young adults that will help them navigate the workforce and to become productive citizens of society.
